Rwanda at Fruit Logistica 2026: building partnerships for horticultural exports
Rwanda is showcasing its horticultural ambitions at Fruit Logistica 2026, one of the world’s leading trade fairs for fresh fruit and vegetables, taking place February 4–6 at Messe Berlin. Now in its 33rd edition, the event brings together 2,600 exhibitors from 90 countries and trade visitors from more than 150 nations, connecting the full fresh-produce supply chain.
Rwanda is represented by the National Agricultural Export Development Board (NAEB), the Embassy of Rwanda in Germany and local horticultural exporters. The Ambassador of the Republic of Rwanda in Germany, Igor CESAR, attended Fruit Logistica 2026, underlining the importance of the platform for trade engagement. The delegation is using the fair to present the quality of Rwandan produce, strengthen buyer and logistics relationships, and follow up on partnerships initiated during the previous edition.
The timing is notable: in the final week of January 2026 (Jan 26–30), Rwanda generated over USD 10.85 million from shipments of roughly 8,500 tonnes of agricultural products, including vegetables, fruits, flowers, and other agricultural and livestock exports.
As meetings in Berlin continue, Rwanda’s focus is clear: turning trade-fair connections into durable partnerships that open new export routes in the months ahead.
