The thrill returns: Tour du Rwanda 2025

The wait is over! Tour du Rwanda is back, bringing world-class cycling action to the heart of Rwanda. The highly anticipated race kicked off on Sunday, February 23, with a thrilling 4km prologue individual time trial (ITT), which started at Kigali’s iconic BK Arena and concluded at Amahoro Stadium.

This year’s edition holds special significance, serving as a prelude to the prestigious UCI World Road Championships set for September. With 15 elite teams, including Rwanda’s national squad, the peloton is ready to battle it out over eight grueling stages covering a total of 812 kilometers.

The longest stage, spanning 158 kilometers from Rukomo to Kayonza, will push riders to their limits, while the final stage will culminate in an electrifying showdown at the Kigali Convention Center.

Prologue | Sunday, Feb. 23: Amahoro Stadium (4km)

Stage 1 | Monday, Feb. 24: Rukomo – Kayonza (158km)

Stage 2 | Tuesday, Feb. 25: Kigali – Musanze (121km)

Stage 3 | Wednesday, Feb. 26: Musanze – Rubavu (102km)

Stage 4 | Thursday, Feb. 27: Rubavu – Karongi (97km)

Stage 5 | Friday, Feb. 28: Rusizi – Huye (143km)
