Nova Coffee builds export links in London
Nova Coffee Ltd came to London this week with a clear export message and a practical offer for international buyers. At the International Food & Drink Event, the company, represented by Agnes Mukamushinja, showcased Arabica red bourbon coffee, Grade A, and used the fair to strengthen its market presence beyond its existing customer base. The setting mattered, but the real substance sat in the details behind the cup.
Trade fairs and partnerships
For Nova Coffee, London was not just a display window. It was a place to build the next stage of trade relationships. The company already serves Germany, the Netherlands, the USA, Japan, China, Singapore and Australia. In 2026, it is actively targeting London and Canada as new markets.
That gives its participation a clear commercial direction. Buyers who stopped at the stand were not meeting a company that was testing the waters. They were meeting a supplier that already exports across several markets and is now looking for specialty coffee importers and long-term sourcing partners who value traceability and consistent quality.
The path from first conversation to first shipment is also clear. Nova Coffee says it follows up with available lots, key specifications and processing details. It then sends samples for cupping. Once a buyer selects a lot, both sides align on volume, pricing, timeline and payment before final preparation, documentation and shipment. It is a methodical route, but coffee trade often moves forward that way, one careful step after another.
Quality and traceability
Nova Coffee says its 2025 production was about 12 containers of 19,200 kg each. That figure gives buyers a concrete sense of supply capacity. The company also points to a quality system built on strict cherry selection, controlled processing at washing station level, dry milling with defect sorting and grading, and cupping protocols aligned with specialty standards at 84+ SCA score. Nova Coffee is also Fairtrade certified.
The company sources from both farmers and cooperatives. It says it actively promotes Good Agricultural Practices with the farmers who supply its washing station, because quality starts at farm level. That link between field and shipment gives traceability real meaning. It is not just paperwork on a desk. It is practice repeated through the season.
“At Nova Coffee, we focus on consistent quality, clear traceability, and reliable delivery.”
In London, Nova Coffee presented more than a sample bag. It presented a grounded Rwanda coffee story, shaped by process, supply discipline and the steady work of building long-term export partnerships.
