Hilton to Debut Tapestry Collection in Rwanda with Zaria Court Kigali
Hilton has announced the launch of its first Tapestry Collection by Hilton hotel in Sub-Saharan Africa with the upcoming opening of Zaria Court Kigali in Rwanda, expected in December 2025. Developed by Masai Ujiri’s Zaria Group, this 80-room property will also be Hilton’s first hotel in Rwanda.
Located next to BK Arena and Amahoro Stadium in Kigali’s new sports and entertainment district, the hotel will feature a rooftop lounge, pool, gym, co-working area, sports bar, and all-day dining restaurant, catering to both business and leisure guests. Aleph Hospitality will manage the property.
The Tapestry Collection, known for its independent, character-rich hotels, offers guests authentic local experiences while providing access to Hilton’s global Hilton Honors loyalty programme. This opening reflects Hilton’s broader expansion strategy in Africa — the company currently operates 64 hotels on the continent and plans to add over 100 more, nearly tripling its African presence in the coming years.
